Our preschool and kindergarten students had a blast learning the importance of brushing and taking care of their teeth in a fun interactive way! All smiles on the Colgate bus!

Over the weekend our 7th and 8th graders participated in a clean up at Skater’s Park on 21st Ave in Paterson. We’re so proud of their hard work and dedication to making a difference in our community!

Mike Ciccotello joined us on Thursday for Read Across America, and it was an unforgettable experience! As an author-illustrator of many beloved picture books, Mike brought his creativity and expertise to our PreK through 4th grade students. Each Kindergarten through 4th grade had the opportunity to participate in a hands-on "how-to-draw" session with Mike, where he guided the children step-by-step in creating their own illustrations.

On Tuesday Darryl McDaniels joined us to kick off Read Across America week, highlighting the importance of reading every day, not just in the classroom.

Reminder for Parents! We are excited to remind everyone about the Reading Challenge we are holding! Students who read 500 minutes or more were awarded a free ticket for themselves AND a parent to attend a fun-filled Jackals baseball game! It was such a wonderful night where our students got the chance to represent John P. Holland School and be recognized for their hard work and reading achievements!

Today, we hosted the 2025 Kahoot Bowl with our brilliant 5th and 6th Grade Gifted and Talented students! A big thank you to all the schools that joined us and made this event a huge success!
