Estimadas familias de JPJCS, Tenga en cuenta que John P Holland Charter School está tomando todas las medidas de precaución para proteger a nuestros estudiantes y miembros del personal contra la propagación del Coronavirus (COVID -19). Como resultado, tendremos un día completo de clases el lunes 16 de marzo y cerraremos desde el Martes 17 de Marzo hasta el 31 de Marzo y reabriremos el 1 de Abril de 2020. Todos los programas antes / después de la escuela serán cancelados para el Lunes, incluyendo el preescolar Ice Cream Social.
Es imperativo que su hijo venga a la escuela el lunes para recibir sus instrucciones para sus tareas de aprendizaje a distancia. Es muy importante que su hijo inicie sesión en los horarios específicos proporcionados para recibir crédito por cada día que no estamos en la escuela. Si no tiene Wi-Fi, su hijo recibirá una copia impresa de todas las tareas que deben devolverse el 1 de Abril en su totalidad. Habrá personal limitado disponible para ayudarlo si tiene preguntas durante esta cierre de la escuela, así que comuníquese con la oficina principal al 973-345-2212. Dear JPHCS families, Please be advised that John P Holland Charter School is taking every precautionary measure to safeguard our students and staff members against the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID -19). As a result, we will have a full day of school on Monday, March 16th and close from Tuesday March 17th through March 31st and will reopen on April 1st, 2020. All before/after school programs will be cancelled for Monday including the Preschool Ice Cream Social.
It is imperative that your child comes to school on Monday to receive their instructions for their distant learning assignments. It is very important for your child to log on at the specific times provided in order to receive credit for each day we are not in school. If you do not have Wi-Fi your child will receive a paper copy of all assignments that must be returned on April 1st in their entirety. Limited staff will be available to assist should you have questions during this school closure so please contact the main office 973-345-2212. In addition our social workers will be available should you need any assistance with counseling, housing, etc.
Food distribution will begin Tuesday between the hours of 9 am - 1 pm for all students that receive free or reduced lunch. You will receive two days worth of breakfast and lunch to lesson the need to come to the school everyday.
In addition for those families that are traveling during the school closure via airplane, bus, train or cruise ship, I can not emphasize enough that in order to keep everyone safe you are required to quarantine your family for 14 days upon your return. If you do not you will not be permitted back to school until that is completed and documentation is provided.

Dear JPHCS Parents, Guardians, and Caregivers
As new information about the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) becomes available, we continue to plan and prepare for the potential of a Coronavirus outbreak in Paterson. We are making every effort to educate our staff and students about the best ways to prevent infection and avoid being exposed to the virus. Additionally, we are encouraging any members of our school community to seek medical advice and stay at home, especially if one of the symptoms is a fever.
The school district is guided by direction provided by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), the New Jersey Department of Health (NJDOH) and Paterson Board of Health. In situations where residents may have come in contact with Coronavirus, reports are made to the Department of Health so an investigation can be completed and guidance can be provided after assessing public risk. This process guarantees that each case is fully investigated by health experts before any action is considered.

A medida que nueva información sobre el COVID-19 (coronavirus) se disponga, seguimos planificar y prepararse para el potencial de un brote de coronavirus en Paterson. Estamos haciendo todo lo posible para educar a nuestro personal y estudiantes sobre las mejores formas de prevenir la infección y evitar la exposición al virus.
