ADMISSIONS
John P. Holland Charter School is open to all students from Paterson on a space-available basis. We do not discriminate in our admission policies on the basis of intellectual or athletic ability, measures of achievement or aptitude, status as a handicapped person, or proficiency in the English language. We believe every child deserves a quality education in a challenging and loving environment.
HOW TO APPLY
Complete an online admission application. We have included the link for you at the side of this page.
If you have a child entering PreK 3, our applications are available in October for the following school year. Please note that your child must turn three-years-old by October 31st, 2024. Sorry, no exceptions.
If you have a child entering PreK 4, our applications are available in October for the following school year. Please note that your child must turn four- years-old by October 31st, 2024. Sorry, no exceptions.
If you have a child entering kindergarten, our applications are available in October for the following year. Please note that your child must turn five-years-old by October 31, 2024. Sorry, no exceptions.
IMMUNIZATIONS REQUIREMENTS
Because we are a public school, we follow New Jersey state law immunization requirements. We require all students enrolled in our school to be current on their immunizations. This helps us keep our school and children healthy and prevents an outbreak of many types of diseases.
Immunization exemptions are available for medical reasons, laboratory proof of immunity, and personal or religious beliefs. Please be aware that if an outbreak of illness occurs and your child has not received vaccinations, we will not allow him or her in school until the outbreak is over.
